Clippers let Williams go
Guard Alvin Williams' short Clippers stint came to an end Monday when his 10-day contract expired and the Clippers declined to sign him to a second 10-day deal. The nine-year NBA veteran appeared in two games. He scored one point and had three assists.
The Clippers might sign another player in the next day or two, most likely a big man. Williams was signed after backup point guard Shaun Livingston suffered a sprained ankle that kept him out for two games.
The Clippers learned that center Zeljko Rebraca will undergo possible season-ending back surgery today.
Another backup, center-forward, Aaron Williams has been plagued by recurring back problems since the season began.
